Sweet Dreams,I guess?

I have apparently discovered a new recipe for dreams. The last couple days I have woke up before 5 with a pressing "need". Upon completion of that task, I go back to bed and stay awake for a long time...but, I tend to fall back asleep just after the alarm goes off and when I do, the dreams start a rollin'.
Sometimes I can figure out why I dreamed what I dreamed, and then there are days like today...I was in downtown New York (deep, deep sigh) and then all hell breaks loose, sirens, cops, people running everywhere and hiding. Then I notice there is a man with a gun, holding my two friends Charlotte and Samantha (yes, from Sex and the City) hostage. They have their violin and cello (respectively) with them and he is pushing them towards a chain link fence. I run over to them and suddenly I am hostage too. We are pushed through the chain link fence where, naturally, an ancient Chinese temple is, and the courtyard is full of people. The bad guy starts yelling at everyone and climbs up on top of the temple and begins firing (from a crossbow) arrows at the crowd. People start screaming and hitting the deck, and I pull a little boy down as I drop. He is scared, so I tell him to not move and asking him questions about himself, trying to calm him down.
But we get hit anyway. It turns out that the arrows are filled with some sort of tranquillizer that makes most people fall asleep, so that they can be transported underground for 100 years as punishment for something that the bad guys thought they had done (I dunno what or why but it made sense in the dream). The sleeping people start getting dragged away, but a few of us are awake enough to escape. I am one of the lucky ones.
We escape to the nearby fortress of the "resistance" and are informed that the bad guys are battling on another plain of existence and in order to free the victims, we have to take peyote. And, apparently, peyote comes in the form of giant melon type fruits that you have to scoop out. It tastes nearly too bad to swallow, so most of the warrior chose to take in suppository form, but I take it orally, gagging a few times before I get it down. Then, we climb aboard the Spanish Armada ships that came and we go off to save the people.
Then the dream changed to something else. My last dream, before I woke up, took place at my high school reunion, where it turned out there were some spies who were fighting each other.
Um? What? Any thoughts?

Wow...it's like if David Lynch directed Cloverfield.
